Hey, RKB. Thanks for that. Nice of you to drop by again and let me know.

I’m actually working on a Meta-Warrior novel right now and hope to have it knocked into shape by the end of this year. I’ll be sure to let you know of anything that comes of that.

And influences – yes. One of the things I’ve enjoyed about writing these stories is having a complete lack of concern for revealing the influences that inform them. And I’ve always hoped that this would be part of the fun for readers, too. I think you’ve spotted a couple of influences in there for sure!

I picked the issue up and I am now getting around to leaving a comment. I commented before how I enjoyed your story ‘Gutter sees the light that never shines’ and you said said you had another story in the same universe in Weird Tales. I also enjoyed BleakWarrior Meets the Sons of Brawl. I like the whole meatwarrior world you have created, and would love to see a novel or story collection set in it. New Weird/Splat Punk/D&D with some Jack Ketchum style harshness, and doubtless more influences, besides. Again, really enjoyed it.

I don’t have a collection of stories at the moment but I’m working on it, and I’m working on more of what you’ve seen in “The Gutter”. I’ll post on here if and when anything happens.

One thing that might interest you: the story I have in Weird Tales #351 is set in the same world as “The Gutter”, but with different characters. Let me know what you think if you ever manage to see it.

Looked you up to say I really enjoyed your story here in this collection. ‘The gutter sees the light that never shines’ all the characters could come from an adults only version of D&D. It was just how dirty/ nasty/ and brutal things could get without a PG-13 hobbit filter. I would like to know if you have an anthology published, or in the works for your stories? Again finding your story was a very pleasant surprise to me. Damn fine work.
